Javier Otero

Javier Otero (Santiago, 1990) es artista visual formado en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Su práctica articula escultura, dibujo y pintura, explorando espacio, territorio y sociedad a partir de objetos cotidianos hallados en la calle. Expone desde 2011. Destacan sus individuales Tijerales (Galería Collectio, 2024) y Reacción en cadena (Espacio Vilches UC, 2013). En 2025 obtiene Mención Honrosa en el Premio Arte Joven MAVI UC con Fragmentos de un sistema, adquirida por Ca.Sa, también expone en Berlín y Pamplona. Su obra integra las colecciones Gabriela Mistral, Ca.Sa y ArtexLa, con piezas en Alemania, EE.UU., Italia y Nueva Zelanda. En 2025 realiza residencia en PADA Studios (Portugal). Es productor ejecutivo y director de arte de Nube Lab.

Javier Otero (Santiago, 1990) is a visual artist trained at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. His practice moves across sculpture, drawing and painting, exploring space, territory and society through everyday objects found in the street. He has been exhibiting since 2011. His solo shows include Tijerales (Galería Collectio, 2024) and Reacción en cadena (Espacio Vilches UC, 2013). In 2025 he received an Honorable Mention in the MAVI UC Young Art Prize with Fragmentos de un sistema, acquired by Ca.Sa; he has also exhibited in Berlin and Pamplona. His work is part of the Gabriela Mistral, Ca.Sa and ArtexLa collections, with pieces held in Germany, the United States, Italy and New Zealand. In 2025 he completed a residency at PADA Studios (Portugal). He is executive producer and art director of Nube Lab.
